Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs), incorporating cell and gene therapies have long been seen as an attractive therapeutic option in the field of oncology and beyond. The challenges of establishing these complex therapies cannot be underestimated, but with the rapid adoption of CD19 CAR-T therapies in the haemato-oncology setting we have now seen them rolled out into standard of care practice in the UK. This talk will explore the challenges of development and delivery of Advanced Therapies across indications including solid tumours, as well as the opportunities for translational research within the Manchester landscape.
