THE KENNETH BLOOR MEMORIAL FUND TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants should submit a brief curriculum vitae and a plan for the proposed travel and study to the administrator by Tuesday 30th September 2008. Applications will be assessed by members of the Council on Tuesday 14th October 2008 and applicants may be called for interview. The successful applicant will be awarded a cheque for £750 for travel after the 1st January 2009. He/she will be asked to present the results of his/her experience in a five/ten minute presentation prior to a general meeting of the Section of Surgery.

ASTRA/ZENECA REGISTRARS' PRIZE - CLOSING DATE 24TH NOVEMBER 2008

Applications are invited from trainees and all non career grade surgeons within the area. A summary of no longer than 300 words is to be submitted. The papers selected will be presented by the authors at a meeting of the Section of Surgery on Tuesday 10th March 2009 at 6.30 pm. Presentations should take no longer than 15 minutes.
