Synopsis:
Outlining the journey of a Radiographer into Advanced and Consultant Practice, we will discuss our two individual pathways within the various specialisms of Radiology. We endeavour to outline what the role requires but also how differences in service needs can influence change. Identifying the opportunities and constraints whilst relating this to the continuous workforce challenges. This session aims to explore and educate on the possibilities for Advanced Practice to improve clinical activity and patient outcomes.

- Highlight the key differences between Advanced and Consultant Practice in Radiology.
- Discuss what benefits Advanced and Consultant practice can bring within the various specialisms of Radiology.
- Identify the core challenges impeding Advanced and Consultant practice within departments and services.
